Zé Borges, born in june 1998 is a portuguese experimental sound artist and musician from Viseu, Portugal. He took a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Music and Musical production ( Esart-Polythechnique Institute of Castelo Branco) and  is a current student in the Multimédia (specialisation in Interactive Music and Sound Design)  Master's degree in FEUP-U.PORTO.  Despite his academical path in music and sound related areas, he is at heart,  a self taught musician, taking up the guitar in his teenage years and developing his language based on the fascination for timbral diversity and improvisation.  His areas of interest reside currently in DSP (digital signal processing),  generative music,  installation and sound design. His music is influenced by Soundscape composition,  minimal-repetitive and analog tape aesthetics. Always reserving  his emotional relationship with the act of listening and projecting his poetic views on the conceived pieces. He often uses diverse tools such as devices programmed by himself combined with obsolete hardware like cassette tape loops, circuit bent effect pedals and occasionally guitar in order to produce different forms of sound  processing and synthesis .
